How to free disk space by deleting Hibernate File in Windows Vista

Windows Vista while hibernate create a file called hiberfil.sys. This file can grow bigger in size and you may remove it, and with that action - save a lot of disk space. File can't be removed in the classic way (just delete). Following simple steps will do the job:

  1. Log on as the Administrator
  2. Start Command Prompt then type:
    powercfg -h off
  3. Press Enter
This trick will make you more comfortable while working in Vista and will definitely increase your productivity!
