Emerald theme manager is Compiz driven 3D window engine. You can control the window borders, look and feel. You can set effects to your window like glass, glow, fade, choose active buttons, their position on the window (like close, minimize, maximize, shade) etc.

Installation of emerald theme manager on Ubuntu is easy. Just go to System/Administration/Synaptic Package Manager and enter in search field “emerald” without quotes. Click and Mark for installation, then Apply. After installation, you can find Emerald at System/Preferences/Emerald Theme Manager.

If you need to download emerald themes here is interesting places:
http://themes.beryl-project.org/
http://www.compiz-themes.org/index.php?xcontentmode=103

Or you can google it for more, just enter emerald themes at search field.

For adding downloaded theme click Import from Emerald Themer, choose the file and click open. For theme activation click on chosen theme. If it doesn't automatically update, press Alt+F2 and type:

emerald --replace
Click Run an that it's.

Note: At my experience, Emerald doesn't start at startup. To fix that follow this simple tutorial:

Go to System/Preferences/Sessions
At startup tab click Add, and enter in the fields the same as picture:

Click Save, and Close

Restart the computer and enjoy in new 3D effects emerald themes.

The window theme is Ubuntu Studio, you can found and install from

or

The emerald theme is Aero-Aqua Mix (Right - you can set the buttons on Emerald/Edit themes/Titlebar/Title-bar Object Layout) and you can found this theme on:

Thanks Viktor. How about the backgrounds from this page (blades of grass) or the blue/purple aurora from the "How to install Ubuntu Studio..." page? I couldn't find those in ubuntustudio-wallpapers or at any of the available links.
