Microsoft web browser is out of beta phase and step near to the final version. Although the Microsoft web site (yet) has not additional information about the release of candidate 1 of Internet Explorer 8, this web-browser is already available for download.
The differences between these (RC1) and the final version should be only "cosmetic" and should not be adding new features, but only fixes of spotted errors.
IE8 RC1 is available for 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows, and Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003 and Server 2008.
