Windows tip: Open folder in command prompt from the Explorer

If you are using the Windows Explorer in Windows, and want to open a folder to a command prompt follow next steps:

For Windows Vista:

  1. With the folder in the right hand panel
  2. Hold down the Shift key
  3. Right Click
  4. Select Open Command Window Here
For Windows XP:
