The main features in new driver release are:

• Production support for Linux Operating Systems – now ATI Catalyst with this release introduces production support of Ubuntu 8.10
• Full OpenGL™ 3.0 extension support
• Hybrid CrossFire™ support for Linux – significant 3D graphic performance and boost for systems with 780G/780D integrated graphics and Ati Radeon 3400 and 2400 series
• Multiview Support - enables users to render applications using a multiple GPU configuration with independent displays
