GOM Player is a free multimedia player with popular video and audio codecs already built-in. GOM Player supports various file formats such as DAT, MPEG, DivX, XviD, WMV, ASF, AVI, MOV, FLV, AC3, OGG, MP4, H263, H264 and other. Even GOM has build-in codecs, paired with FFdshow it is ultimate multimedia player capable of playing almost any A/V format.


This player is one of the best flash media players and you can add subtitles when flash files are played. Also plays broken & incomplete AVI files by skipping the damaged frames (patented feature). It updates automatically, includes drag-and-drop support, HTTP streaming, editable skins, subtitles, overlay mixer, key remapping, enhanced video filter rendering, real-time index rebuilding for AVI files, pop-out playlist, unicode support among others and has settings for almost everything. Some setting changes will have effect only after player restart.

The interface is clean and simple, the main window has playback controls, control panel and preferences buttons and a ‘GOM’ icon on the top left which opens a single menu with all details (file, edit…) integrated into the single menu.
