Are you tired of going to applications menu all the time for starting terminal? Don't want to make terminal shortcut on the panel or desktop?

Here is simple solution. Go to system/preferences/keyboard shortcuts.
When list is open, scroll down and find terminal, click on new shortcut and press for example F12. Closing the settings, you can instantly start terminal every time when you need it with pressing F12.

I usually bind it to the "Windows" key.
