In 2008, Linux netbooks has a 70% market share compared to Windows, but this share began to decline rapidly after presenting a netbook with Windows XP. Buyers that are using Windows on their computers are not ready for platform change becouse the netbook is purchased mainly as a second computer.

According to the same analysis, in 2007 300,000 netbooks was delivered, and in 2008 the number climbed to 11.21 million. This year expected sales are 23.2 million netbook units.
