Vista tip: How to Find and Install Drivers for Unknown Hardware

On Detector-PRO.com we already wrote about Microsoft Vista’s - the unknown hardware problem. To recap: using the Aida (Everest) program, find detailed information on the type of hardware in your computer, and after that find the drivers you need on the manufacturer’s web site for your operating system. Examples of that would certainly be http://ati.amd.com/technology/windowsvista/driver.html and http://www.nvidia.com/page/technology_vista_downloads.html web sites.

But in case you do not find adequate drivers on the manufacturer’s web site, we recommend visiting HERE where one can find a really big collection of Windows Vista drivers. It is almost unbelievable that such a large collection of drivers can be found in one place. And if even here, you do not find the drivers you need, the last chance you have is visiting HERE because there are over 400.000 drivers here. Registration is free and necessary for downloading the drivers. Driverguide is very often the last step when searching for drivers, and if you do not find anything on their web sites, it is most likely you’ll be changing the hardware very soon.

We hope you’ll be able to find your driver at least on one place we’ve suggested.
