Don't want to miss a single bit? Subscribe to our RSS Feed!

You can play Windows games under Linux but need certain software for this to be possible. You may want to try WINE or for more modern games and for this tutorial Cedega. Cedega is an enhanced commercial version of WINE, the Windows compatibility layer used to run Windows apps on Linux. Cegega is oriented towards games, with each new release supporting more of the latest titles. It's developed by TransGaming, and runs BattleField 2, World of WarCraft, Dungeon Siege 2, Madden, Half Life, City of Villains, WarCraft III, Star Wars Galaxies, Sims 3 etc. An easy-to-use graphical front-end is included.

You will need to go the the Cedega website www.cedega.com, sign up for Cedega with a small price a month. Believe, it’s a worthy addition to any hardcore gamers collection. Once signed up you will need to download and install Cedega and/or Point2Play to play games under Linux. Other instructions are on the website www.cedega.com.
