How to show hidden uninstall options in windows

Detector detect another useful trick for speeding up windows OS. You can use this trick to show more Windows components in control panel - Add/Remove programs(which are hidden by default), and uninstall some of them to make more available space in you computer memory or your hard disk. This tip is for advanced windows users only. Proceed at your own risk!

Instructions:

  1. Browse to C:\Windows\inf\ and make a backup copy of sysoc.inf.
  2. Open the original file C:\Windows\inf\sysoc.inf in notepad.
  3. Go to "Edit" and select "Replace".
  4. In "Find what:" type ",hide" and in "Replace with:" type "," then select "Replace All",
  5. Save and close the file.
  6. Go to the "Control Panel", "Add/Remove", select "Add/Remove Windows Components".
  7. You will now see many more Windows components to uninstall.
Warning: Do not remove anything with no label or that you do not recognize or fully understand what it does. Doing so can break certain functionality in Windows.
