How to use ActiveSync with Bluetooth

Don't want to miss a single bit? Subscribe to our RSS Feed!

This is simple guide for using Bluetooth to connect a Pocket PC or Smartphone to a PC and get ActiveSync to operate.

  1. Add an incoming COM port in your Bluetooth software.
  2. Under CONNECTIONS in ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Center, select “Allow connection to one of the following” and check the list, use the COM port created with your Bluetooth software.
  3. Refresh your paired devices services on your PPC or Smartphone and you'll see ActiveSync pop up.
I hope this tip helps the majority of those suffering from their lack of BT ActiveSync connections.
