Ardour is a professional digital audio workstation for Linux and MacOS. You can use it to record, edit and mix multi-track audio, produce your own CDs, mix video soundtracks..

Ardour support: multitrack/multichannel audio recording using ALSA and Jack supported audio interfaces, supports up to 32 bit samples, 24+ channels at up to 96kHz, full MMC control, a non-destructive, non-linear editor with unlimited undo/redo, LADSPA plugins, VST plugins (effects and instruments), full automation support, a powerful mixer, unlimited tracks/busses/plugins, timecode synchronization and hardware control from surfaces like the Mackie Control Universal.
