Currently the service is in the phase of the closed beta testing, and it is a technology that Google get it by purchase GrandCentral Company two years ago. Google Voice uses only one telephone number that can switch calls to their existing phones. It has built a voice mail that can be accessed via telephone or the internet, and can store audio messages, such as Gmail.

The service offers the possibility of transcription of messages - convert speech to text, for now only in English. In this way, messages can be searched like any other text content and forward the text to any mail address.
