According to information from Motorola, Windows Mobile 7 will not be finished before 2010 year, said Sanjay Jha (one of Motorola heads) at the press conference while commenting company business results.

About the transition of Motorola to Android, Sanjay Jha announced that Motorola is still committed to Windows Mobile, but, according to the fact that next version of Microsoft mobile OS will not be released before 2010, focus is transferred to the Android. He added that the Android this year is "simply competitive."

Motorola is interested for Android because of its processing capabilities. The company announced that they would like to modify the Google OS for their cellular phones to be stronger oriented to social networks.

In parallel, came the announcement that the Motorola market share of mobile phones dropped to 6.5%, which means that they will lose their previous position, and on the scale they will fall to fifth place (behind LG's and Sony Ericsson).
