If you are Windows user and if you are getting “Access Denied” error, there is a solution. Sometimes, if you trying to connect to a XP computer and if you have the correct user names and passwords anyway, for the other computer, the “Access Denied” error or message can popup and can be very annoying. The solution is simple modification of registry. Just follow next steps:
- Start Regedit
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Control / Lsa
- Change the value of a key called "restrictanonymous" to 0 instead of 1
- Don't change "restrictanonymoussam" value.
- Reboot
