Windows from some reason (or no reason) sometimes can froze some task. If you don't like to bother with CTRL-ALT-DEL solution to end that task set your system to automatically end Non-responsive tasks. Here is the steps:

  1. Start Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\AutoEndTasks
  3. Set the value to be 1
  4. Change the WaitToKillAppTimeout to the number of milliseconds you want.
