Linux Foundation is non-profit organization involved in growing and development of Linux platform. The foundation is open at year 2007. It has support of a lot significant informatics technology companies around the world. Linux Foundation works on effort to protect, promote and standardize the Linux platform.
As I said, big corporation are deeply involved in financing this foundation. But, starting from today, the doors are open to everyone. For payment of $49 you can become member of Linux foundation.
